NHS building work rarely surfaces on the local council portal: it routes through NHS ProCure23 (P23) for major capital schemes and NHS SBS construction and estates agreements, so a trades or works firm chasing hospital work needs to be watching those health-specific routes, not just Find a Tender.

The sharpest regional driver right now is retrofit and decarbonisation. Nottingham City Council hosts the Midlands Net Zero Hub, coordinating social-housing decarbonisation for a large group of council and housing-association members, and Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund money has pulled thousands of East Midlands homes into fabric-first and low-carbon-heating programmes. For trades - insulation, heating, electrical, fabric works - that means a steady flow of housing-provider and council packages, often bundled into wider retrofit frameworks, where demonstrable quality and social value carry real weight in the score.
